Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the US. Her best-known work is her role as Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC television drama Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other characters include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the late 1970s. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre as a student at Northwestern University. Anna began her professional career working in theatres of the Chicago area for several years. After that, she went on to television and film. Anna's first role of note was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. After a brief appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's In 1992, she landed the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons from the year 2000. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully The Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn did not stop at the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the show the podcast Numbered Day comprised of four audio dramas. Breaking Bad is often built around Walter White's love affair with the wife of his character, Skyler. The strained relationship as well as their final break-up mirror the devastating end for Walter White.
